Baby shower invitations

If you are throwing a baby shower for a close friend or family member, your first hurdle will be the invitations. You probably want to make the event special and memorable. The invitation is going to be going out to a lot of people and it will likely be placed in the baby book. You want it to be cute and original. There are many baby shower invitation wording ideas that can help you make your invitation stand out.

When it comes to showers, rhyming is always a cute idea. Think about items you need to care for a child and try to rhyme them in a phrase. You could say something like “Bottles and Booties, Diapers and Pins, this is where (place the name or gender here) journey begins. If you can personalize the phrase with the name the couple has chose, or at least the gender, that will make it all the more special.

If you have chosen a certain animal or theme, try to come up with a phrase that will go along with that theme. If the invitation features monkeys or a jungle theme, you could say something like “Monkey around with us at so and so’s baby shower.”

If the couple does not know the gender of the baby, rubber ducks are a common gender-neutral theme. You could play off of the rubber ducky song from sesame street and use words from the song to create cute, personalized phrases for the invitation.

Whatever you choose to do, make sure you include all of the pertinent information on the invites. If you can personalize it as much as possible, that will make it all the more special. If there will be any unique treats or fun games at the shower you may want to include those, if you have room.
